This 5 day SMSTS training course is perfect for site managers, site agents or anyone responsible for organising, monitoring and administering staff and workforce. To obtain the SMSTS certification candidates MUST attend all 5 days of their course.
The SMSTS certificate is valid for 5 years. After this time candidates can take the SMSTS Refresher course to renew their SMSTS certification.
The SMSTS course covers relevant legislation and aspects that affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. Attending the SMSTS training can show you comply with the laws and prepare you to manage a safe site at all times.

Assessment & Certification
Candidates are required to sit an exam paper consisting of 25 questions, of which 5 are safety critical and require a short written answer.
Delegates must attend all 5 days, in accordance with the SMSTS course programme. Certification is issued by the CITB - Construction Industry Training Board (Site Safety Plus).

Who Is The SMSTS Training Course For?
The course is for project managers, site managers and site supervisors as well as proprietors of small to medium sized companies.
Claiming a CITB Grant
For companies that are CITB registered it is possible to claim £120 for each delegate who completes this SMSTS course. In order for the grant to be claimed the company name and CITB levy number must be included on the delegates information form which is completed before the course starts.
