    What You Will Learn

    During the course you will understand:
    • Current legislation
    • Recognition of confined spaces
    • Dangers associated with these areas including video film
    • Human respiratory system
    • Demonstration of gas detection equipment in hazardous atmospheres
    • Demonstration of personnel protective equipment i.e. Ropes, harnesses and main riding hoists
    • Demonstration of escape breathing apparatus
    • Pre entry checks on equipment. Safe systems of work entry into confined spaces
    • Methods of communication
    • Manning levels
    • Emergency procedures
    • Diseases and personnel hygiene associated with confined spaces
    • Awareness for the need for periodic examination of equipment

    On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.
